Lets respond to your post by statements:
By the way, if you really want to argue about the merits of MS vs any other OS this is not
the proper forum. This is completely off topic and I personally should not be responding
to your post in this manner but for the great number of errors and misrepresentations made
in your post.

Linux upgrades are bug fixes for the previous buggy OS, in case you are too blind to see that. Hum, I wonder what the move to 2.4 from 2.2 was? Seems to have been a very large movement towards a better operating system, not a bug fix. You appear to need glasses and/or understand Linux a little better before you start making rash statements like this.
No free upgrades from M$, what do you call each version of Explorer. I thought we were discussing OSs here, or perhaps you believe that IE is an OS, LOL.
Security holes? I have an inbox full of linux security updates just in the last month, M$ security holes are widely advertised and linux holes are overlooked by the media. One independent government study showed linux had more holes than Mac or Win2k. You might want to read that study a little better, again, glasses may help here. Please check CERT and then get back to me on this. They are truely independent. Also, since you brought up the fantastic IE, you might want to REALLY check CERT and see what they have to say about the patch MS released just a little while back which "fixed all open security holes". Also interesting is that the patch was pulled from their web site in about 2 hours because it was buggy and not fully tested.
By the way, I am definitely not saying that linux does not have its bugs.
In my 20 years as a IT specialist I have tested more different OSs and computer hardware configurations than your shallow mind could ever dream of.
Interesting, how can you make a statement like this without even knowing 1) my experience and background and 2) expect me to blindly accept your representations of your experience and background?
I enjoy a healthy different opinion that is how we learn. Your intolerance to someone else experience probably gets you nowhere in life.
Just out of curiosity, you feel that this response shows any degree of tolerance (or your original post as far as that goes)? The term "shallow mind" is definitely a tolerant manner of discussion. And you, in a typical sign of a poor debater, resort to implied insults and puffing of one's chest about their own self importance. Sorry list, I will not respond to this guy again except via personal email, if at all.
