Hey Group,
I'm needing to dial up to my SuSE 7.3 machine. Can't find much in the manuals about setting up the mgetty for dial in.
try man getty instead or man agetty
The agetty has a couple of examples. Dial in not out right?
Has anybody set up a dial in connection to a SuSE machine lately?? This is for a standard analog modem on a serial port.
Not dial up but a straight serial connection.

Hi David, You didn't look too far on the URL I gave you in the last reply. Have another look at this page http://alpha.greenie.net/mgetty/ Under the heading "Some pointers to other related sites on the Net..." You will see a number of pointer to AutoPPP and dialin examples. These document what you have to do to set up a dialin service. Also if you install the mgetty package there is a fair bit of info supplied in the setup files located in /etc/mgetty+sendfax.
