On Tuesday December 18 2001 08:37 am, you interfaced in analog form:
Under the KDE control panel (SuSE-Desktop-->Menu Settings) you have the choice of using a standard KDE menu or the SuSE menu, which in the former case become a submenu. Maybe you're trying to edit the KDE menu, in which Kword is under Office. Try to edit items in the the "SuSE" submenu. HTH

WARNING! NEWBIE LIKE QUESTION AHEAD!
When I try to edit by selecting Start Application button/Configure Panel/Menu Editor, what it shows is not what is actually listed. For example, If I want to launch KWord, I select Office/Word Processor/kword. The editor does not show the intermediate sub menu, Word Processor, and kword is directly under Office.
Also, I am very unsuccessful in adding menu items, such as the Open Office packages.
What am I doing wrong?

That was it! (Gosh, I confuse so easily in my old age!)
Thanks so much! Harry
