WARNING! NEWBIE LIKE QUESTION AHEAD! When I try to edit by selecting Start Application button/Configure Panel/Menu Editor, what it shows is not what is actually listed. For example, If I want to launch KWord, I select Office/Word Processor/kword. The editor does not show the intermediate sub menu, Word Processor, and kword is directly under Office. Also, I am very unsuccessful in adding menu items, such as the Open Office packages. What am I doing wrong? Harry G
Under the KDE control panel (SuSE-Desktop-->Menu Settings) you have the choice of using a standard KDE menu or the SuSE menu, which in the former case become a submenu. Maybe you're trying to edit the KDE menu, in which Kword is under Office. Try to edit items in the the "SuSE" submenu. HTH Emiliano Grilli lunedì, 17 dicembre 2001 alle 22:16:47, Harry G ha scritto:

Thanks so much! Harry

I think it is fine that SuSE have organized the menus, but it is very confusing that the menu editor don't look the same. It would be great if a pop-up stated this menu/submenu relation on launching k-menu-edit - or at least SuSE: Put this in your online help database. I think I searched for this a week ago?
