The config issue could well be as a result of Red Hat's GNOME config stuff being stored in a different place to SuSE's Have a look under /usr/share/oaf - if there's things in there that mention Galeon, they should be moved to /opt/gnome/share/oaf Also look under /etc/gconf for directories named galeon [ find . -type d -name galeon -exec ls -ld {} \; in that directory will do this for you ] These will need moving to /etc/opt/gnome/gconf/whatever_other_subdirectories
I installed the mozilla 0.9.6 and galeon 1.0 Red Hat rpms and it worked for me. Although I am having functional problems with Galeon. Like, it's not saving my config settings and sites like slashdot & freshmeat look like crap. -- James Ogley, Unix Systems Administrator, Pinnacle Insurance Plc james.ogley@pinnacle.co.uk www.pinnacle.co.uk +44 (0) 20 8731 3619 Using Free Software since 1994, running GNU/Linux (SuSE 7.x) This email was created and sent with Ximian Evolution 0.99.2 (RC2) NEW: Advogato diary at www.advogato.org/person/riggwelter
