Dear list,
I have just decided to install Netscape 6.1 as my current version of netscape that came shipped with suse 7.1 professional crashes everytime I try to use it.
I downloaded the software and unzipped the file as per installation instructions. As superuser I then tried to execute the installation script
./netscape-installer
The result of this command is shown below:-
Xlib:connection to ":0.0" refused by server Xlib:Client is not authorised to connect to server Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display: :0
Could somebody please tell me the steps that I must complete in order to get around the problem described above.
Many thanks in advance Neil Briggs
I have run into this before that a program will not install as superuser. Login as Root and install Netscape. It should install ok. Then login as user and excute 'netscape'. Netscape should run. This will create a /.netscape directory in the users home directory and other files. Nevada
