Hello Linux folkz, I've got an old Creative Labs AWE32 ISA sound card. Just today I compiled kernel 2.4.8 with the following sound drivers as a modules: awe_wave mpu401 sb sb_lib sound soundcore uart401 After rebooting I have no sound and only these messages: modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module char-major-180 insmod: insmod: a module named soundcore already exists insmod: insmod: insmod char-major-14 failed modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module sound-slot-0 modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module sound-service-0-0 modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module sound-slot-1 modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module sound-slot-1 modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module sound-service-1-0 modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module sound-service-1-0 modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module sound-service-0-3 modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module char-major-116 Could somebody tell me please which sound-slot and sound-service is associated with which module from /lib/modules/2.4.8/kernel/drivers/sound?
