HEre is what I have in my crontab to do this:
/opt/apache/bin/logresolve < /opt/apache/logs/access_log >
/opt/apache/logs/resolved.log
Obviously, I don't have Apache in the SuSE default location.
Anyway it's $PATH_TO_LOGRESOLVE < $PATH_OF_ORIGINAL LOGFILE >
$DESTINATION_FILE_NAME
One thing that I want to do but haven't gotten figured out yet is the Apache
*rotatelogs* for logrotation.
Anyone have any ideas?
THanks!
Geordon

Hi, I'm trying to figure out logresolv.. but reading the man hasnt helped. :-) I would like to simply resolve the IP addresses in my apache access.log. I use the DNS LookUp feature in Apache at the mo so it's only the old logs that need to fixed. (right now the access.log contains resolved and unresolved IP addresses)
Thanks,
Morsal
