Hi,
My 7.1 update has finally arrived. The process was painless and I have also updated to KDE2.1. All very smooth. I do have one problem though.
The default 2.2.18 kernel was installed duing the update. Once everything was complete I went to YAST 1 and selected the 2.4 kernel then ran LILO still in YAST 1 and rebooted. Back came the 2.2.18 Kernel.
I have noted corresspondance on the list about selecting both 2.2.18 and 2.4.0 on this list but that has been with ref to a fresh install.
after doing this (selecting 2.4 with yast1 after already ahving 2.2.18), you should have TWO kernels now, default one being 2.2.18 and 2.4 optional - selectable during boot time in the lilo menu (the graphical one or the ascii one, in both)
It wasn't so until I manually fixed /etc/lilo.conf. -Kastus
