The short answer is: You can't logon on a NT domain as you would do with a Windows PC. However you can mount NT shares as any other user, with the same privileges or restrictions. Example: I mount NT shares with the following command: # smbmount //uniweb/stpp /mnt/stpp -o uid=1444,username=cwnl-koos I run this command as root, the files will have uid 1444 (my unix userid) and the username to authenticate with is cwnl-koos (my domain userid) The long answer is: http://www.samba.org Good luck. -- ---------------------------------------------------- Koos Pol T: +31 20 3116122 Systems Administrator F: +31 20 3116200 Compuware Europe B.V.
