You know. I don't know why they don't work. I am Helix Gnome guy myself. I just putz with KDE2 so that I know what it's all about. I have tried to use OpenGL SS in KDE2 myself with no success. All the other OpenGL stuff I have works as well.
At work I have a Mesa installed, and the OpenGL screensavers work fine. At home I use the NVidia drivers, and it does not work. I suspect that the kde screensavers may be using some Mesa specific functions and (there are few of them) and these symbols won't be found in a non-mesa library, so it probably pukes on startup. This is just a guess though.
I don't even know the default format for the pics..could someone post it..so I don't have to bother the developers *grin*.

I think I might just use that one (slide -**-show) -**-On a side ? do ya know of any reason the gl-screensavers in there don't -**-work? All my other opengl apps run great. Q3, ssystem at 100fps,etc...? -**-Well Q3 only works in kde1, but everything else seems to. -**- -**--- -**-Mark Hounschell -**-markh@compro.net -**- -**--- -**-To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com -**-For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com -**-Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/support/faq -**- -- Ben Rosenberg mailto:brosenb@suse.com *************************************** SuSE Inc. 580 Second St Suite 210 Oakland CA 94607 U.S.A Tel: 1-510-628-3380 EXT:5086 Fax: 1-510-628-3381 *************************************** "My opinions are not a reflection of the opinions of SuSE Inc."
