Thanks for the advice, this was something I didn't try yet. However, now I have tried it, it didn't work :-(
Can you tell me what the directory name is that I need to mount from ftp.gwdg.de? I looked for info on that site, but didn't find any. Plus, does anyone know whether there is a list of publicly accesible NFS servers carrying SuSE?
We are currently compiling a list (as an SDB article). The only one I know of so far is this one:
linux01.gwdg.de:/suse/7.0/i386.de/
For updates, use this share:
linux01.gwdg.de:/suse/ftp.suse.com/pub
What are the chances of providing an rsync server on the SuSE ftp server?
