I think you'll find that ext2 is the native file system for SuSE and Linux in general. The ReiserFS is operational, but is still in it's infancy. I would suggest that you not use it for production systems. You are right, that the utilities are needed, but if you chooes to run "on the bleeding edge" (or at least the edge) you will indeed bleed a bit. Sorry. best, -- Wm. J.
