Hello, our company is a mix of Linux and Windows 98 machines. We are probably going to upgrade the Windows 98 to 2000. We have had some minor inside job hacking problems. We are located in Russia, thus software is cheap cheap:-) So $ is not an issue. We pay $2.5 per CD. Flat rate. I believe we are using NT for a server, though I am not sure. I raised the question of changing servers to Linux. I am not happy about how such things as print and sharing are more difficult to set up for the Linux people. The administrator prefers Windows NT. He mentioned how Samba doesn't do identification etc. I was clueless in this area. Anyhow, I know this thread is Linux biased, but I would appreciate opinions. If you had an office of 45 people, 1/3 Linux, 2/3 Windows which OS for the server? Thanks George __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo!
