Hello I wonder whether someone could help me to figure out what is happening with my CD player. If I play a audio CD using cdplay or whatever music comes out in just obe of the speakers. However if I extract the wav file from the same CD and play it using /oss/play the music comes out stereo (two speakers). What am I mssing here?
I would think you are missing a wire between the CDROM and you sound card!. Check your cable, if that is OK then you've either got a problem with one of the outputs from your CD Drive or an input problem on your sound card. Chech the cable you are using is the correct one.
