Does anyone have experience here with running a software distribution company? Didn't think so! IIRC the initial mention from SuSE was that 7.0 would have both the new kernel *and* the stable XFree 4.x. Apparently neither of these were ready in time, but the Marketing plan was already in motion. Would you
XFree86 4.0 is included and the default for those chipsets supported by it. It is stable on those, I'm running it right now (and I always do default configuration and don't hack anything any more or install other software, no time).
rather they included an unknown *major* component or two (kernel + X)? I know I wouldn't! Top marks to SuSE for not taking the easy way out and giving us what we seem to want (now), but would only bitch about (later).
