Hi all, My Network is working just as i want it to.. except for one thing ... i can't get dial on demand to work .........on my Suse 6.4 gateway box. ( dialup ISDN PPP ) I updated the stock wvdial ... from SuSe's FTP site ......... now wvdial.dod works manually ......( wvdial.dod start ) ........*but* it doesn't get launched at boot time ... even though there are symlinks pointing to it in the /sbin/init.d/rc2.d and /sbin/init.d/rc3.d directories ... I tried replacing this script with both the German version & and the English version from the Support database .. with these .. wvdial.dod is started at boot but aborts with an error ........ So now, i've all but given up on wvdial.dod :_( I have searched the support database on the SuSe site.. it seems Arjen Runsink has gotten diald to work with wvdial ......... !!! Are you listening, Arjen ?? 2 questions .. a) How do i get diald to launch at boot .. b) is /etc/diald.conf the only file i need to configure ? If i can't get this to work.. i'll start worrying about chat scripts ( haven't touched them since my UUCP days :) ) ............. Thanks in anticipation Anurag -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/support/faq
