Hi Listers,
have a problem with mounting my dos partition.
in /etc/fstab:
/dev/hda3 /dos ??? user 0 0
where ??? has contained all possible values for fs type.
still i get the error message bad fs type. does anyone have a suggestion on how to solve the mounting problem?
Another thing you should maybe look at is whether your vfat/msdos, etc. filesystems are compiled into the kernel or kept as modules. If they *are* kept as modules, you may well have to 'modprobe vfat' (for example) before mounting the partition - I sometimes have to do this for Mac (ugh!) formatted floppy disks when I need to mount them.
