[SLE] Antwort: WELCOME to suse-linux-e@suse.com
Hi Listers, have a problem with mounting my dos partition. in /etc/fstab: /dev/hda3 /dos ??? user 0 0 where ??? has contained all possible values for fs type. till i get the error message bad fs type. does anyone have a suggestion on how to solve the mounting problem? Another thing you should maybe look at is whether your vfat/msdos, etc. filesystems are compiled into the kernel or kept as modules. If they *are* kept as modules, you may well have to 'modprobe vfat' (for example) before mounting the partition - I sometimes have to do this for Mac (ugh!) formatted floppy disks when I need to mount them.
