Thanks.  Just for grins, I decided to try knapster.  It does seem to work very
well with Suse 6.3.  I'm pleasantly surprised (it's my first experience with
mp3 format) with the quality of the sound.  

Downloads will be awfully slow on my 54k modem connection though.
