Another option is to get the DSL service and pick up a cheap router (linksys
has a cable/DSL router). This can be hooked up to easily configure the service
and allow you to change the setting on your linux box to match and return the
router. The problem with a lot of these services is that they do not know how
to set the settings on a linux box, and have step by step instructiions on how
to set this up on a Windows box (if this is someones job, no offense meant).
These routers have step by step instruction on how to do this also, some of the
services are including boxes such as these (ie. free router when signing up for
the service..
