No bashing at all. The only problem I have with Corel is that they did not test their installation program with SuSE 6.3 nor with Caldera... Their tech support does not reply to support messages even though I am entitled to 30 day installation support. Jerry and I sent e-mail messages as well as posted on their news groups. I really like WPO2K and I am happy Corel did that project. Avi "Steven T. Hatton" wrote:

Possibly... I had installed Wine several months ago but removed it when I noticed that for the most part it could play Solitair and a few other games but no apps of importance. JLK
oppsss whats going on here , this is geting very reminisent of windows os , that leave stuff all over the place and swaps dlls on you with out letting you know.
Samy,
Not that I'm not interested in your experiences with packages such as WPO. I am. I haven't been able to follow this thread. (The)God(s) turned me down on my request for an extra hour in the day. I do see a bit of Corel bashing going on here at SuSE-e. I occasionally bash manufacturers myself. I must say that I have a generally positive feeling about Corel. I always liked WordPerfect. The "reveal codes" makes all the difference. Corel has been into linux for years. They have done a lot for the advancement of Wine. *I* think this is a good thing for the computer inductry/community.
Have y'all then your gripes to Corel? I am certain they have a mailing list or news group where you can discuss these things. They would probably be grateful to hear of your problems.
I bash one company in particular because I saw an unambiguous malice on their part. That company distorted the viability of many products I like. One of those products is WP. I'm on their side. Hey, if you have a gripe, give them a chance to respond. If they don't, pummel them!
