Appliances won't cut it. We already have them and they
didn't fit the need.
I could easily pull out my Scientific calculator to do
numerical analysis and calculations. Or, I could pull out a
TI92 to plot functions. Modeling would be a little tougher
but then there is always the T-square and triangles. For
animation a flip-pack or my movie camera - tongue in
cheek...
None of those will replace my versitile PC. Feature creep
would keep them too expensive. Look what happened to those
address pims. They sell for $15 bucks and I never see
anyone use them any more.
