Hi there,
I just started playing with ICEWM and it's a LOT faster than KDE. I think I should probably stick to it and let it grow on me some more. What I'd like to know is if there's some more info on ICE on the SuSE CD's. A manual would be nice. One more thing: I can run any KDE app in ICE right?
Manual: /usr/doc/packages/icewm/ or http://icewm.themes.org Using Ice is cool, except for the menuing system. I've looked a bit for a menu parser/creator, but have yet to find one. I'll keep looking. Another issue that I have with Ice is the fact that if I run KFM at the same time, I lose the Ice rootmenu on the desktop, which means that I am forced to use the Win-style button in the lower-left. LenZ: The IceWM-1.0.1 rpm you released does not install on a 6.3 system ;). It complains about LibJPEG. I have yet to make 1.0.1 run. Thanks, OTOH, for including the themes; the themes from the source code are downright spartan. I can't even find the XFVWM theme on icewm.t.o! Yatsen: Yes, KDE apps run fine, so long as you don't remove the KDE libraries. -- -=|JP|=- Jon Pennington | Atipa Linux Solutions -o) jpennington@atipa.com | Kansas City, MO /\\ 816-241-2641 x107 | http://www.atipa.com _\_V -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
