What does this mean? This message is output by kernel at boot time (SuSE 6.3). I've never seen it with earlier kernels (5.3, 6.0, 6.1). HDD seems to work Ok, so could this make any harm?
I took a quick look in the source and the printout means that the PCI IDE controller isn't 100% native PCI and so the interrupts can't be determined at that time, they are later of course. It looks like a work around for poor hardware design but I can't claim to be authoritative. /Michael -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
