I hate to say it, but this is the biggest pain in my butt too. I
will bet that it will compile and run with RedHat. The only reason I
have RH is that some things I have to have will only work easily in
RH. Sounds kinda like some propaganda outa Redmond?

Dunno what to say. I duual boot RedHat and SuSE on two machines here.
