: Hello,
After talking with a few people I would like to solicit ideas for a new name for our openSLES project. The driving factor for this is to avoid confusion with SLES. It will also allow us to avoid any conflicts with copyright, trademark and branding.
So put on your hats and assist us with comping up with a new name.
Last time this came up someone suggested CENSLES which I liked (Say it out loud)
Am I right in thinking that the abbreviation "SLES" is not trademarked?
You can find at least a partial list of trademarks on Novell's site here:
http://www.novell.com/company/legal/trademarks/tmlist.html
If you have questions about Novell trademarks that you need a
definitive answer to, email permission@novell.com. They'll usually
respond pretty quickly.
Best,
Zonker
