Yes I can see that would be difficult.. I don't know it would take to upload at 1mb/s but it would likely take days.. I think its about time that upload speeds could match download speeds but I can only dream.. With storage and bandwith available for download - people are not just sending out e-mails any more.. It would be most likely quicker to fly to copy the file to a hd and fly back lol. As for the forum post re clustering cinelerra is this http://www.assistcg.com/component/content/article/67.html Stuart On Monday 14 Feb 2011 19:11:46 jdd wrote:

I am building beowolf cluster for my final year thesis tell me how many computer's do you need and maybe i can build one to run that program you mentioned before.
it was in year 2000, the computers are now much more powerfull :-)
I just buy a i5 4x cores and 4Gb ram for video hd editing
I am also looking t build a thin client technology so maybe you can run that 100 cluster super computer software on my cluster :)
you can try it. But the main problem is uploading, my HD video sources are often 40Gb and I have only 1Mb upload bandwith :-(
I had a plan to make the cluster, plan to makd the remote login option, now you give me a real world application that requires it.
Thank You So Much!!
try to search google "cinelerra cluster", here I get mostly french results :-(
