On top of that, blackbox and WindowMaker also give focus to the kinput2 mode window at the lower left of Mozilla which results in the problem you describe. Are you using blackbox or Windowmaker? Yep, that's it. I'm running WindowMaker. I just checked Mozilla via KDE, and it worked fine (i.e., didn't steal the focus). Everything else I use under WMaker (Gjiten, Xemacs, rxvt...) doesn't lose focus, so I'll just live with Mozilla as it is.
In case of the other programs (Gjiten, XEmacs, rxvt, ...), the problem
with the kinput2 mode window doesn't occur because the mode window is
opened without a frame in those cases. But even for those programs
the focus problems with the 'Auxiliary Control' window remain.
I had already reported this problem to the blackbox developers, they
acknowledged that it is a bug in blackbox and said they will fix it.
Today I reported it to the WindowMaker developers too, so I guess it
will eventually get fixed for WindowMaker as well.
