I don't know what you are thinking, but this statement is incorrect. I just udated to 4.9.3 via zypper dup and had about the same number of file updated. Why do you believe zypper dup would be different?
Sorry if I didn't make myself clear. As I said earlier in the thread, I ran zypper patch first thing in the morning. Martin suggested that I was mistaken, and that I must have actually done a zypper up or zypper dup. Later, using YaST, I selected the KDE49 repo, right clicked on a file and chose update all in this list if newer version. 134 files came down the line. With me so far? Good. If I had earlier done zypper dup rather than zypper patch, then YaST would not have offered anything to upgrade in the KDE49 repo as it would all have been up to date at that time. Correct me if my logic is wrong.
