I have phonon, phonon-xine, and phonon-gstreamer 4.4.4 working in my
own OBS project (TheBlackCat:kde). I split them into three separate
packages, since upstream they are now developed, released, and
packaged independently. This will make future updates easier.
However, I can't submit these changes back because the web interface
is currently broken. I will submit them as soon as I can. I also may
have phonon-vlc working as well, but I can't build it because the
stripped-down VLC will not build.

Thanks Todd, I'll look at your builds.

phonon-backend-gstreamer needs
Provides: phonon-backend = %version

And it should be named phonon-backend-gstreamer-0_10, following gstreamer
conventions.

Seems to work though - it doesn't crash on amarok last.fm playback as
4.4.3 does.

Done and done. Still can't submit, though.

I haven't noticed any web ui brokenness today - got details? (NB probably
more useful to contact opensuse-buildservice @ or # directly, since that's
where I'll forward them to).

"osc help sr" might be a useful fallback.
