But, as I said, the KDE mailing lists work just fine with the reply-to address, as do most other mailing lists I belong to. This mailing list (and one other) doesn't, however. So it is possible to set up the mailing list so it works properly with gmail, and at least for my unrepresentative sample most do so.
We go through this conversation every couple of months. The listmanagers at openSUSE have decided not to break the reply-to headers the way some other mailing lists do (the KDE lists that you refer to for example). The short answer is, nothing will change. You, I, and others, are using a broken email client. This is how this mailing list, and all other opensuse lists work. If you use GMail or other non-standard/non-compliant email clients, that's your choice (and mine since I also use GMail), but the mailing list will not be changed to accommodate broken email clients. Don't shoot the messenger.. .I'm just telling you what the reality is. GMail does not respect the standards, and you're seeing the consequences of that. GMail also has many other stupidities such as not allowing you to see your own initial mailing list posting (they hide it from you). You can POP your GMail but this also has it's problems.
