My settings Server name: ftp.belnet.be Directory on the server: mirror/ftp.suse.com/i386/supplementary/KDE/update_for_9.0/yast-source/ Note the lack of '/' in the beginning and its presence in the end. You can use another mirror, adjust the path accordingly, taking into account how deep you need to specify it. Good luck! Robert. On Tuesday 09 March 2004 00:59, Gord Berta wrote:
I see in the YaST2>Change Source of Installation>Software Source Media the add, edit, delete , up, down Enable or Disable, it just the correct syntax in the Server Name, and Directory on Server doesn't seem to read the yast-source, something I'm probably omitting or entering incorrectly.
Thanks Gord

Sorry, not that detailed, but it seems that you are trying to place the server in the wrong place. You have to change the installation source (Yast2->Software->Change installation source), there you need to Add as an extra installation source the server for KDE, enable it and place it above the existing source (SuSE base) and then go on and Install/Remove software, search for kde and upgrade the needed KDE pacjages to KDE 3.2. You should notice the availablility of the KDE 3.2 packages.
Cheers, Robert.

: I have tryed a number of ways to 'edit' the Online Update server to
point it
to the KDE 3.2 directories. Without any success.
I would rather not install the apt4 to do this, and wondered if I'm
barking
up the wrong tree.
Any detailed help is appreciated to get kde 3.2 installed on my 9.0
system.
Thanks Gord.
