It is not bitching about the German: it's just so annoying that many of the German participants are unable to follow the rules!
There are quite a few greek guys around, what will this list become if they start posting in Greek? What about French, Italian and all the other languages? Who will understand what? It seems that everyone is able to follow the rules except some german guys ...
Hello evrerybody. My name is Michael Eichstädt. Truly german. I think many post in german because of just not being alert. The problem is: we don´t read manuals! That why we make so many RTFM-mistakes. And the other reason is: SuSE is a german company and for germans it´s very easy not to see that there are a lot of users of lots of nationalities. The whole documentation and the SuSE website is all german with an english version available. Thanks to SuSE who supply such an excellent german LINUX version the community is getting bigger every day here. I really appreciate the internationality of this list and the opensource movement in general. But it happened to me too that I once posted here in german. Somebody told me not to so I went to the right list. We´re easy to handle we germans- just tell us politely and we do it. have a lot of fun! (that´s what it´s all about, isn´t it?) Michael Eichstädt

To answer the question instead of bitching about the German.
I doubt we are going to see a set of KDE 3.1.4 packages anytime soon because they are "working on 9.0" or something. Unless we all request Adrian to make them..then he'll prolly get to them sooner or later.
