Last time, we didn't make the switch because it was not totally ready.
But lots of work has happened in the meantime and empathy has some cool

Limitations that were blocking this in the past were:

You motivated me to test it again... so
$ sudo zypper in empathy
$ empathy
Starts up.. first thing I see: the tray icon is just a square, gray blob...

Edit, Accounts, adding my groupwise messenger account. enabling it... waiting

oh... did I mention waiting?
No connection apparently is happening.. at least it does not do anything.
Did I do anything crucial wrong? So far I have to use kopete as IM. Pidgin
crashe{s,d} on incoming GW messages (did not test for a while. so this
might be solved). empathy.. well, see above.
