Hi,
reason for it is that installation switched from ntp to chrony by
default. So service should check is chronyd instead of ntpd.

Verwijs
with Tumbleweed installation - (any image), NTP service not running. so unable to set clock or adust time/date ....
last image (20170103) is showing Ethernet card, so thats working for me ...
