At every boot I get a failure message and it takes some time before the boot process finishes.
I finally started to read through the error info and got following result: ---------------------------- #systemctl status systemd-udev-settle.service ● systemd-udev-settle.service - udev Wait for Complete Device Initialization Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/system/systemd-udev-settle.service; static; vendor preset: disabled) Active: failed (Result: exit-code) since Tue 2016-05-17 23:30:15 WIB; 20min ago Docs: man:udev(7) man:systemd-udevd.service(8) Process: 516 ExecStart=/usr/bin/udevadm settle (code=exited, status=1/ FAILURE) Main PID: 516 (code=exited, status=1/FAILURE)

May 17 23:30:15 bigone systemd[1]: systemd-udev-settle.service: Failed with result 'exit-code'. ------------------------------- It did not much togive a solution to the problem and reading the man pages udev and systemd-udevd.service did not help either.
Could somebody with an understanding of my problem give me some guidance?
Two problems here.. a) Nothing should pull systemd-udev-settle service .. it is a legacy hack..however some components still need it.. like dmraid and the lvm generator ..do you use any of those ? b) If the answer is yes to the above .. We need to figure out why it fails.. boot with "debug" in the kernel command line and post the output of journalctl -b in a bug report @ bugzilla . -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
