I created a "new" user and went to ttyX, logged in as "new" user:
startx -- :1
Before the splash disappears I get three plasma5 crash notices and a missing sys-tray notice. plasma5 requests restarting but just continues to issue crash notices, never leaving the splash as long as I select "restart application". Closing w/o selecting "restart .." results in a black screen with mouse pointer but no menues or other actions besides a bright blue spot in the upper left hand corner when the mouse pointer is there.
appears somthing's amiss :( But I know not what to do.
