Hm, I updated overnight, now I can no longer login in X, login screen just permanently reappears. Seems Tumbleweed update didn't go well at all this time. Oh well, disable Tumbleweed, zypper dup -l and see if box works tomorrow.
If you get a crash of the KDE session manager, I too have that on my test machine (I don't think it is related to the latest update, but it seems to be related to KDE 4.8). I can stop service xdm, do an xinit by hand and then start the session manager by hand and have everything work, though.
klauncher(10902) kdemain: No DBUS session-bus found. Check if you have started the DBUS server. kdeinit4: Communication error with launcher. Exiting! For me it definitely was the update. All was well before, busted afterward. After disabling Tumbleweed and zypper dup, and I'm up again. Tumbleweed had been working just peachy, so maybe the stuck packages Greg mentioned caused my problem. Guess I'll find out when I turn it back on. -Mike -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
