I don't see the link to reference 1.
The issue is OpenJDK does not properly run most, if any, Java applets.
This is a serious issue that should have been addressed in the
roadmap, not as a sidenote to a milestone release.
You're shooting the messenger here. Andreas doesn't work for Oracle.
