Could you please stop doing random stuff, but instead install and uninstall (right after) x11-video-nvidia{,G01,G02} (since I don't know which NVIDIA card you had before), available for openSUSE 11.2:
zypper ar http://download.nvidia.com/opensuse/11.2/ NVIDIA zypper mr -e NVIDIA zypper mr -r NVIDIA zypper ref -r NVIDIA
zypper in x11-video-nvidia rpm -e x11-video-nvidia
zypper in x11-video-nvidiaG01 rpm -e x11-video-nvidiaG01
zypper in x11-video-nvidiaG02 rpm -e x11-video-nvidiaG02
That should clean up your system. Then reinstall xorg-x11-server and Mesa.
Thanks, Stefan
I've followed your steps and still have the nvidia packages installed :- rpm -e x11-video-nvidiaG01 error: Failed dependencies: x11-video-nvidiaG01 = 173.14.25 is needed by (installed) nvidia-gfxG01-kmp-desktop-173.14.25_2.6.31.5_0.1-23.1.x86_64 and the same for the other "rpm -e" transactions.
