it would be good for inclusion as well.
Main problem is that mobile devices appear as network devices, so to
communicate SynCE needs the firewall open. I am not a SuSEfirewall2
expert and have no idea how to provide sane defaults along with the
SynCE packages that open just the right ports on the right devices.

Should be an easy fix if someone can feed me some info on how to deal
with unpredictable device names.
And as a minor annoyance, SynCE uses OpenSync to actually sync
contacts/calendar etc. The OpenSync project is moving very slowly atm
(not dead, but has had a 0.40 release due for the past few years) and so
there is no plugin to sync with KDE4/akonadi. Hopefully there will be
some effort in this direction for KDE4.5.
I think that it would be a nice addition to the feature list, and will
put some more work into it, but what do you guys think?
Mandriva used it as a feature a couple of releases back (2008.1 I believe).
