I rebooted after a "zypper dup" and packagekitd is not running, same on all 3 boxes. Don't know what happened on the one box previously - something erroneous, so it seems not worth pursuing as a bug. Regards Sid.
Still this is something we would like to address in the future. While it is not possible to have them fully running in parallel, we can improve the ZYpp lock to allow read-only operations in parallel. There is already some code started in this direction: http://git.opensuse.org/?p=projects/zypp/libzypp.git;a=blob;f=zypp/base/Inte... However pieces like ZYpp's RepoManager needs to be adapted to have a fine grained lock. -- Duncan Mac-Vicar P. - Engineering Manager, YaST SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nuernberg) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
