Hi, I cannot install either NVIDIA-Linux-x86-169.12-pkg1.run or
realtek-linux-audiopack-5.01 with the factory kernel
Due to some changes in the kernel, you need a new version of the nVidia
driver for 2.6.25 - they might not have publicly released one, but in
the nVidia Linux forum, you can find a link to a beta version that
works
fine with current factory (I have been running it for some time now).

Is ist possible to post the link?

Thanks

There you'll find a patch that applies to 173.08.
Regards
Sid.

openSUSE 11.0 Beta2 on my computer was upgraded today to kernel version 2.6.25.3-2 -- which is the kernel the OP is talking about.

I compiled the nVidia driver beta 178-03 without a hitch today with this kernel and it works fine (well, I have 3D, but the fps are lousy as per glxgears: ~650 instead of ~3900fps).

The patch you are talking about appears to be concerned with kernel 2.6.26 and not the x.25.3-2 being talked about above.

Ciao.
