Fedora 9 ships KDE4.0 only (with kde3 apps and libs but no full desktop) and their policy is "if you don't think kde4.0 is ready, shut up and skip a release".
I believe they do a mistake too, but again, they are a GNOME-centric distro, so their users won't care much... Unlike openSUSE, that has a very big KDE community. Pushing KDE4 will hurt openSUSE much more than Fedora. And again, adding KDE3 as an easy-to-spot option will make our life way easier. Yes, I can choose KDE3 option from Yast, but it will be hard to explain to my less-knowledgeble friends over the phone. Currently it is not user-friendly. -- -Alexey Eremenko "Technologov" --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
