Hi,
Ok, so I tested the latest livecd with my Dell 700m laptop. The system booted ok, however it spent ages doing the X11 configuration stuff. When GNOME finally started up, the screen had a resolution of 1280x800 (screen default) but GNOME only used 1024x768.
This looks very funny :)
If you find out, what it is, let me know. It's one more reason though to not push the live cd out as we only change the problems. Originally we wanted to have a new round of live cd to fix known problems and now we get tons of new problems. I think this is a problem with the intel driver.
We had this Bug for KDE4 at: https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=335530 and http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=153581 For KDE3 it was here: https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=286096 and for Windowmaker it is still open at: https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=287297 Btw. the current flash plugin "9,0,115,0" has the same problem with the intel driver.
