BTW, it works fine in VirtualBox. Network was instantly available. It seems to boot much faster than some previous versions.
Installation worked perfectly, and network worked fast, but than popped up window about new discovered hardware - network card and question would I like to configure it.
Yes I would, give root password, and
I have forgotten that first popped up window saying that another program is using software management. Hmm ... who would be that? Ah, yes. Software updater was running. I finished updates and went back to network device dialog, told to retry and than got network device configuration. This is for sure not obvious for first time users.
get network device configuration window. Simple press 'Next' replaced working routing table with one that had only loopback device, and network was shut down.
Additional 'rcnetwork restart' did nothing (as expected), and network was still down.
Back to network devices, set default gateway and press 'Next' solved problem.
IMHO, default gateway should be found by running dhcpcd, so it was not necessary to set anything in network device configuration.
