With the benefit of twenty twenty hindsight, I can see
that I've been a bit stupid....

With the default set to init 5, I've screwed my X up.
What, you've never (never) done that? How do I boot a
RedHat 7.2 installation into text mode, so I can run
Xconfigurator?
