With the benefit of twenty twenty hindsight, I can see that I've been a bit stupid....
With the default set to init 5, I've screwed my X up. What, you've never (never) done that? How do I boot a RedHat 7.2 installation into text mode, so I can run Xconfigurator?
You can usually start up in single user mode by giving LILO the option "single". You may be able to start in a specific run leven by either "runlevel=3" or simply "3". If you are connected to a network you might also be able to connect using SSH. -- Mark Evans St. Peter's CofE High School Phone: +44 1392 204764 X109 Fax: +44 1392 204763
