When you use packages from different repos you can't be surprised something
breaks. You have never get any such guarantee. You gave a good example.
Either:
1. use octave 3.8.1 or
2. use llvm 3.4 or
3. use octave 3.6.4 and llvm 3.3 from openSUSE:13.1 (only supported scenario).
You can of course experiment and try octave built for openSUSE:Factory, which
should work with llvm 3.4. But again, no one will fix your system when you
start playing with it (~ by using other repos than openSUSE:13.1 and its update
channel).
